Wounds Movie Spoiler Review, Watch It On Netflix
Babak Anvari’s follow-up feature film, to his debut Under the Shadow (2016) takes the concepts we’ve all been loving in recent years. Films like Hereditary and, Midsommer made it cool to create visual expressions of life within the scope of something average. Starring Armie Hammer (Sorry to Bother You (2018) and Dakota Johnson of Fifty Shades fame. This is a Wounds spoiler review with an explanation. Mother of Movies Review Contains Wounds Movie Spoilers
The dynamic between Will and Carrie is supposed to highlight their vapid personality of Will. One party was rejected but full of life and the other scraped the sides of everything with his drunken fingers. Will’s job in the bar only exasperates his position in the universe as someone who thinks the world owes him for nothing. Subsequently, he fawns over Alicia who frequents his workplace.
He ignores that she has a boyfriend. Will serves alcohol to minors, allows fights to erupt, and simply has a basic non-interest in what’s going on around him. He is the perfect candidate for a group of teens heavily into pagan rituals and, looking to score their next sacrifice into reaching an alternate universe.
Wounds Movie Spoilers and Explanation
Based on a novella called The Visible Filth. Most people who reviewed it on Goodreads seemed to like it and think it was scary. Among the comments I read, there were still some, who, like many that have seen the film, simply wondered what on earth happened.
Intriguingly, a charismatic gentleman employed in a bustling establishment finds himself entangled in a web of questionable choices. Unexpectedly, he becomes the unwitting vessel for a mysterious entity, which manifests itself through a peculiar mobile device. It seems that the entity sought a host who possessed a certain degree of vulnerability, and our protagonist, Will, proved to be an ideal candidate.
As the story progresses, we witness Will’s journey marked by hasty decisions, eerie visions, and encroaching hallucinations, as he gradually succumbs to the enigmatic force lurking on the other side. Indeed, he unwittingly becomes a conduit, a gateway of sorts, and this gateway possesses an insatiable hunger. Meanwhile, Will’s girlfriend, already familiar with his transient nature, becomes entwined in the unfolding events, thus unintentionally becoming entangled with the very entity that has claimed her beloved.
The research and snapshot we are shown of what Will has brought into the house show pagan rituals. It glosses out the means to allow higher beings to enter our world. Why? We will never know because the Wounds movie simply decided we knew enough and there was enough to go on to finish it up. The problem is, there wasn’t.

Movie Explanation for Wounds Ending
As for the kids in the bar, they turned out to be much more conniving than originally anticipated. You could probably imagine them having picked this particular bar on purpose. They had an agenda and were well-versed in the rules and what they needed to do.
More importantly, Johnson’s Carrie was perhaps the most disappointing thing about the whole story. Not that she was bad in it, I mean the girl hardly wore pants in many scenes. She was entirely a prop and then given ambiguous scenes wrought with subtext which are never explained. When Will gives her a bath, the beings that he had brought into the house are washed out of her. She isn’t hollow I guess. However, there were so many unanswered questions about her character. Most of the dialogue she is given seems to try and clue everyone into what’s actually going on. Did it? Not really.
